MY CHIROPRACTIC STORY
“I move from Miami to Texas in January of 2006 to pursue a diploma in a Vocational College as a medical assistant. When I was told as part of the program we needed externship hours in order to graduate. The externship coordinator went by the city I live in to place me in my externship. Pain & Injury Center of Lewisville was the second choice in my list. When I realize I was going to work in a chiropractic office I had no idea what to expect. My vision of chiropractic was this is a place where sports injuries get taken care of, nothing more. I was sure of one thing I always wanting to work in an environment like this one. My reaction in working here was a great impression for the reason that everything people say about chiropractic is not true. Chiropractic doesn’t only help your body but here at Pain & Injury Center of Lewisville it feeds your mind too. The staff here gives a through explanation of process and procedures like no other doctor offices. By me working here not do I just help people but I can heal them by letting them know we are here to help them in everyway possible. Also, I can use my knowledge of massage therapy as part of the alternative therapy offered here.”

My Chiropractic Story
My first chiropractic experience began on August 23, 2003 when I started my externship with Dr. Robert DaSilva and Dr. Matthew DeGaetano. I was unsure about chiropractic because it was so foreign to me. I got to know the patients and saw the success that they were having after receiving chiropractic care and physical therapy. The patients actually enjoyed coming to the doctor’s office. It took me about 3 months to finally come around and try chiropractic and it was amazing. My oldest son suffered from frequent headaches so I took him in to see Dr. DeGaetano and now he seldom has headaches and my youngest son just thinks it’s very cool.
